SimpLEE Science is a brand new educational television series that focuses on the exciting world of science for elementary students K-5. All of the episodes are taped at the Lee County Public Education Center in the “Discovery Lab” and air regularly on LEARN-TV Comcast Cable Channel 99. SimpLEE Science aligns itself with the Lee County Schools science curriculum and Academic Plan.
The SimpLEE Science project is a collaborative effort between The School District of Lee County and the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. All the episodes feature a burning science question of the day presented by the shows entertaining host, Glenn “The Wild Wizard”. The show has featured extreme weather, crazy experiments and live animals, even a skunk!
SimpLEE Science has established strong partnerships with the local science community. These partnerships include the Imaginarium Science Center, Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, the STEM Team, Lee County Mosquito Control Education and Nature on Wheels.
